USDT transfer failed with OUT_OF_ENERGY

If TronScan shows FAILED - OUT OF ENERGY, you ran short of both energy and TRX.

Why it fails

When you send, your wallet sets a maximum fee (fee limit). If energy runs short, TRX is burned up to that limit. With no energy and not enough TRX, the transfer stops midway and fails.

It failed, but TRX was still taken

Unfortunately that's normal. TRON charges for the resources used up to the point of failure. Your USDT hasn't moved, so it's safe.

How to fix it

1. Check whether the recipient holds USDT. If not, you need 131,000. (How to tell)
2. Rent the energy you need. (How to rent)
3. Confirm the energy arrived, then send again.

Rented energy and it still failed?

• You may have rented 65,000 but sent to an address with no USDT.
• You may have paid from a different wallet, so the energy went elsewhere.
• More than an hour may have passed, and the energy was reclaimed.
